Crude Palm Oil
Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is extracted from the mesocarp or outer layer of fresh fruit bunches. It is orange in colour and semi-solid at room temperature. Crude palm oil is refined and further fractionated to widen its application to be used as ingredients in the food and non-food industries.
The Palm Kernel is the edible seed of the oil palm tree. The fruit yields two distinct kinds of oils – palm oil derived from the outer parts of the fruit and palm kernel oil derived from the kernel.
