Miri: Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOPB) is donating to Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC), Miri Chapter 45 cartons of its Merris cooking oil in conjunction with MRC Charity Carnival 2017.
The contribution is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in line with its tagline “We grow with local communities”.
The MRC Charity Carnival 2017 aims to raise funds for charitable and humanitarian activities of MRC, Miri Chapter apart from being an event for Miri residents to get together.
The carnival started yesterday and will end on Sunday at Bintang Megamall here.
SOPB’s Merris cooking oil is produced locally in SOPB’s refinery with freshly harvested 100 per cent Sarawak grown palm oil.
The ISO 22000 certified cooking oil is cholesterol free and has a high vitamin E content which protects the body from free radicals.
Meanwhile, SOPB is organising a blood donation drive to be held on April 15 from 10am to 3:00pm at Atrium Three, Level One of Permaisuri Imperial City Mall, Miri.
Attractive goodie bags will be given to successful donors.
