We believe certification systems can provide us with credible way to implement, evaluate and communicate the progress of our commitments towards sustainability. As a pioneer and well-recognized leader of palm oil product producer in Sarawak, our Group’s management has been working closely and actively through Sarawak Oil Palm Plantation Owners Association(SOPPOA)with the industry’s stakeholders, relevant agencies taking part in numerous working groups and technical committees for sustainability certifications.
|INTERNATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CARBON CERTIFICATION (ISCC)||MALAYSIAN SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL (MSPO) CERTIFICATION|
|ISCC is a globally certification system that is applicable for all kinds agricultural produce and their derivatives. ISCC is based on the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and German Sustainability ordinances (BioNachV). |The Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification is Malaysia’s own industry’s sustainability certification. Malaysia, being the 2nd largest producer of oil palm products in the world, has taken a big step in ensuring that all oil palm planters, from smallholders to big companies are able to be certify with sustainability certification.
To date, four (4) out of the Group’s 6 palm oil mills and 54% of the Group’s plantation estates that supply fresh fruit bunches to these 4 mills have been certified under MSPO. The Group, through SOPPOA has been involved as the technical working committee and actively promoting MSPO to fellow Sarawakian oil palm planters.
